After last week's intense Chicago Code episode that resulted in a bunch of evidence against Alderman Gibbons (Delroy Lindo), hopes were high for the third to last episode of the season, Black Sox. After all, with a title like that, wouldn't it be all. FOX (6.74 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2) then took home the silver with fresh installments of \"House\" (7.77 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.9, #3) and \"The Chicago Code\" (5.71 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T8).. The network has revealed its plan to cancel five current shows: Lie to Me, Traffic Light, The Chicago Code, Breaking In, and Human Target. All of those shows were on the bubble, so it's no major surprise that they won't be returning next year.. But all its other endangered shows are headed for the rubbish heap in a massive housecleaning: the dramas \"Chicago Code,\" \"Human Target\" and \"Lie to Me\" plus the comedies \"Breaking In\" and \"Traffic Light.\" Meanwhile, the network has made series orders. Watching Fox's \"The Chicago Code\" is great sport for those interested in policing and politics in our city. It's always fun to spot the characters and scenarios pulled from the headlines, and the show features great scenery from. Will the renewal of Breaking In be a retentionista head explosion event, or its cancellation a reminder of Romantically Challenged? Stay tuned. The renewal of any of the three drama ratings laggards would surprise, but not shock, me.. 'The Chicago Code' is on Mondays on Fox-TV at 8:00 pm CT, in the slot that used to occupy '24' for years.
